On your arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be picked up by Paradise Adventure Vacations representative, your driver/guide, who will brief you about your safari and transfer you to your place of accommodation. Do a city tour in the afternoon and visit local sights depending on your time of arrival.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Trekking
After morning breakfast your guide/driver will pick you from your accommodation and head out for Murchison falls. the highlights of this park include; the roaring rapids of the Murchison, the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest national park where you will have the chance of viewing lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. Then surely you will be fascinated by the concentration of hippos and the Nile crocodiles here. For birders, Murchison falls boasts 450 bird species including the elusive shoe-bill stork, dwarf king fisher, the white-thigh horn-bill, and the goliath heron among others. En route, make a stopover at zziwa rhino sanctuary for your first big 5 experience where you will have an hour of rhino tracking. Another stop will be in masindi in order to enjoy your lunch. Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise to the Top of Falls
After an early breakfast, you will embark on a game drive through the park to see some of the diverse wildlife that inhabits the park. Murchison Falls National Park is located in northern Uganda, covering an area of 3,893 square kilometers. It is named after the dramatic Murchison Falls, where the Nile River narrows and plunges through a narrow gorge, creating a spectacular sight. The game drive typically takes about 3-4 hours and is best done in the early morning, when the animals are most active. Some of the animals you may see during the game drive include elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, hyenas, and various antelopes, including Uganda kob, hartebeest, and waterbuck. The park is also home to over 450 bird species, making it a great destination for birdwatchers.
After the game drive, you can have lunch and rest before the afternoon boat cruise. The boat cruise takes about 3 hours and is a great way to see the Nile River and its surrounding wildlife. You will get to see hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species, including the rare shoebill stork. The boat ride also takes you to the bottom of the Murchison Falls, where you can witness the power of the falls up close.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park
On this day, you will leave Murchison Falls National Park and drive through beautiful landscapes and traditional homesteads to Kibale National Park. The journey takes approximately 6 hours, but the beautiful scenery makes it an enjoyable ride. You will arrive at Kibale National Park in the evening, where you will check-in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Kibale Forest National Park – Chimpanzee Trekking and and visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary later Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After your breakfast you will go chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park. You will start with a briefing by a park ranger who will explain the rules and regulations for trekking, as well as the behavior and characteristics of the chimpanzees. You will then set out on a guided hike through the forest, looking for chimpanzees and other primates such as colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and more. Once you locate a group of chimpanzees, you will spend up to one hour observing and photographing them. After the chimpanzee trekking, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary from where you will take on a guided walk around the Swamp which will provide you with the opportunity to see a wide range of flora and fauna. This park is located in the western part of Uganda and is known for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, hippos, and more. You will check into your accommodation, which may be a lodge or a campsite, and have some time to relax.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise along Kazinga Channel
After your breakfast, embark on a morning game drive, it’s best to start early in the morning, around 6-7am when the animals are most active. Bring warm clothing as it can be quite chilly during the early morning hours. During the game drive, your guide will take you through different parts of the park, including open savannah grasslands, acacia woodlands, and riverine forests. This gives you the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, such as elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, antelopes, and more.
After the game drive, you will have lunch and then head out for the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This is a great opportunity to see more wildlife, as many animals come to the channel to drink and cool off. Keep your eyes peeled for hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, elephants, and a variety of bird species, including African fish eagles, kingfishers, pelicans, and storks.
The boat cruise usually takes about 2 hours, and it’s a relaxing way to enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park via Ishasha Sector for Tree Climbing Lions
After breakfast, you will embark on the journey to Bwindi. The journey from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is approximately 4-5 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic. The route takes you through the Ishasha sector of the park, where you may be lucky enough to spot tree-climbing lions. Keep your eyes peeled and your camera ready. Along the way, you will not only pass through traditional homesteads and rural villages, where you can get a glimpse of local life and culture. But also your driver-guide may stop at some of these places to give you a chance to interact with the locals and learn more about their way of life.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most biodiverse areas in Africa. It is home to over 100 species of mammals, including several primates, as well as hundreds of bird species and a variety of flora and fauna. Gorilla trekking is the main attraction at Bwindi, but there are also other activities to enjoy, such as nature walks, bird watching, and cultural visits to the Batwa pygmy community.
Upon arrival at Bwindi, you will check-in at your lodge and have dinner before settling in for an overnight stay. The lodges at Bwindi offer comfortable accommodations with stunning views of the forest and the surrounding hills. Lastly, don’t forget to pack warm clothing and comfortable hiking shoes for your gorilla trekking experience the next day. The trek can be quite challenging, so make sure you are physically fit and able to handle the terrain. Day 8: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park – Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Community Encounter and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
On this day, you will go on a gorilla trekking adventure, one of the highlights of your trip. Gorilla trekking is a unique and unforgettable experience, but it can be challenging. The trek can take anywhere from 1-6 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family you are tracking. You’ll be accompanied by an experienced guide and a team of trackers who will help you locate the gorillas and ensure your safety during the trek.
Before setting off on your gorilla trek, you’ll receive a briefing on the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. These include keeping a safe distance from the gorillas, not touching them, and keeping a quiet and respectful demeanor throughout the experience. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to over 400 gorillas, divided into several family groups. Each family is unique, and the experience of seeing them in the wild is truly breathtaking.
After the gorilla trek, you’ll return to your lodge to freshen up and have lunch. Thereafter, go out for the batwa cultural experience. After this fascinating experience, you will return to your lodge and you can then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, which is approximately a 2-3 hour drive from Bwindi.
Lake Bunyonyi specifically a beautiful and peaceful spot, perfect for relaxation and unwinding after the gorilla trek. The lake is dotted with over 20 small islands and surrounded by lush hills and mountains. Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for Afternoon Game Drive
After breakfast, you will leave Lake Bunyonyi and drive to Lake Mburo National Park, one of Uganda’s smallest but most beautiful national parks. The drive from Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo National Park is approximately 3 to 4 hours, so be prepared for a long journey. You may want to bring some snacks and drinks for the road.
Lake Mburo National Park is located in the western part of Uganda, near the border with Tanzania. It covers an area of 370 square kilometers and is home to over 350 bird species and many animals, including zebras, impalas, elands, buffalos, and various antelopes. You may also see warthogs, baboons, and hippos. The best time to go on a game drive is in the afternoon, when the animals are more active. The game drive typically takes about 2-3 hours, depending on the sightings and your interests.
