A ten Days Uganda Safari Tour & Holiday

Your ten day Uganda safari tour will bring you to Murchison falls national park, expect a detour visit to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for white rhino tracking, game drive and launch trip to the bottom of the falls. Thereafter, transfer to Kibale National Park for the Chimp trekking experience. Exit Kibale and go Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will enjoy game drive plus a launch trip on the Kazinga Channel. Transfer to Bwindi for the ultimate Gorilla experience. From Bwindi, And Lake Bunyonyi for Relaxation, you go Lake Mburo before concluding in Entebbe.

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport

On your arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be picked up by Paradise Adventure Vacations representative, your driver/guide, who will brief you about your safari and transfer you to your place of accommodation. Do a city tour in the afternoon and visit local sights depending on your time.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls with stopover for Rhino Tracking

After Morning Breakfast Your guide/driver will pick you from your Accommodation and head out for Murchison falls. The highlights of this park include; the roaring rapids of the Murchison, the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest  National Park where you will have the chance of viewing lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. Then surely you will be fascinated by the concentration of hippos and the Nile crocodiles here. For birders, Murchison Falls boasts 450 bird species including the elusive shoe-bill stork, dwarf king fisher, the white-thigh horn-bill, and the Goliath heron among others.

En route, make a stopover at Zziwa Rhino sanctuary for your first Big 5 experience where you will have an hour of rhino tracking. Another stop will be in Masindi in order to enjoy your lunch. Continue to the park and check in to your accommodation to relax.

Day 3: Morning game drive and boat trip to the bottom of the falls

After an early breakfast, tour the Northern section of Murchison with a high concentration of Savannah wildlife. Enjoy game viewing and photography of elephants, buffalos, waterbucks, giraffes, Uganda kobs and lions, the leopards (if you are lucky) plus a variety of bird species. Return to your accommodation for lunch.

In the afternoon after lunch, head out for the boat trip to the base of the falls. This trip is said to be the highlight of the safari in Murchison falls since it allows you to get up close to the animal species within the water. Cruise past huge hippo pods, crocodiles, bathing buffalo, and numerous aquatic birds adorning the north bank on the way to the mighty waterfalls. You will have an opportunity to take thousands of pictures. You will proceed for a hike (if you like) to the top of the falls. The hike is a strenuous one but the thrill on reaching the top is unforgettable. Miss it only if you must! Return to your accommodation thereafter and freshen up.

Day 4: Transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest National Park

Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge and embark on your drive to Kibale Forest; you will take pleasure in the gorgeous scenery of this countryside which makes the journey more exciting. Have your lunch en route in Fort portal the Tourism City and continue as you will have great views of the Rwenzori ranges. Check in at your lodge. Later in the evening, you will go for a guided nature walk in Bigodi wetland which is home to various birds and primate species.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking, and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth

Get up so early for breakfast and head to the park headquarters, here you will be briefed and later start off with Chimpanzee trekking in the forest. Kibale forest is among the charming places well-known for different primates and several crater lakes within Uganda. In the morning you will see the chimps in their natural environment. These chimps are also exciting and this very close encounter will reward you with a memorable experience on your trip which after you will get back to lodge for lunch and check out.

After lunch you will drive to the Mweya peninsula in Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will arrive in the late afternoon. Check in and relax from the tiresome journey.

Day 6: Game drive – Afternoon Boat cruise – Community walk to Lake Katwe salt mining village

After your morning breakfast, head out for a morning game drive at Kasenyi track of the park. Common sightings here are; elephant, warthog, water buck, kobs, leopard, lions, hyena, buffalo and so much more. The activity lasts from three to four hours, which after you will return back to the lodge for refreshment. After a short break, you will visit Katwe fishing and salt mining village. In season, you will see plenty of flamingos in this part of the park and after return back to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will head out for an afternoon boat cruise on the well-known Kazinga Channel to see schools of hippos, basks of crocodiles. The Channel has the highest concentration of hippos in Africa it is also a great place for birders enjoy most as you will see hundreds and hundreds of birds on the shore, you can easily identify over 40 species while on the boat cruise on Kazinga Channel… Return to the lodge after the trip.

Day 7: Morning game drive – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP

After your morning breakfast, head out for a game drive to look for wildlife on the Kasenyi track of the park. Common sightings here are; elephant, warthog, water buck, kobs, leopard, lions, hyena, Uganda Safari Tour, buffalo. You will then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP via Ishasha sector which is famous for its tree climbing lions, for another game drive to look for the tree climbing lions and head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a home to the famous half of the worlds endangered mountain gorillas. A magnificent verdant swathe across the steep ridges of the Albertan Rift Valley. This ancient rain forest -one of the few in Africa to have flourished throughout the last Ice Age -is home to roughly half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Arrive to check in and have lunch, relax or go for an evening village walk and shopping at the craft market before dinner

Day 8: Gorilla trekking Bwindi & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation, sightseeing

Have breakfast and move to the rangers’ post. You will receive some briefing (from a ranger guide) on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists.

The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable.

Thereafter, you will return for lunch then drive off to Lake Bunyonyi. The lake is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478m) but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo NP and enjoy afternoon (evening) game viewing

Have breakfast and set off to Lake Mburo NP via Mbarara town. You will arrive in the early afternoon and take some rest before proceeding out for the late afternoon (evening) game viewing. On the game drive, expect to see the gigantic eland antelopes, zebras, topic, impalas, Uganda kobs and Cape buffalos among others.

Later, relax at the accommodation where you will spend the night. Optional: In case you are interested, you may go out for the breathtaking Mburo night game drive (at an extra cost on the ground). During the night game drive, expect to sight nocturnal creatures including snakes, hyena, owls and the elusive leopard (on a lucky day) among others.

Day 10: Mburo nature walk and transfer to Entebbe Airport for your flight out

Enjoy your early breakfast and proceed for the Mburo morning park (bush) walk in the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger/guide. On this early morning guided walk; you will have the opportunity to encounter (at close range): Zebras, Uganda Safari Tour, Giraffes and Eland, Topi and other antelope, Cape buffaloes among others.

Take the Trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo and beyond. From this vantage point, you will have a great view of 9 of the twelve lakes surrounding Lake Mburo NP.
