Nestled in an extensive rainforest on its own private island overlooking the mighty Nile River. Wild waters Lodge lies on around 25km downstream from Jinja in eastern Uganda. Stationed in a sublime location and can only be reached by boat. Which makes it an Adventurous place to stay. Furthermore it is uniquely perched on granite rocks with dramatic and exciting rapids roaring all around.

Please kindly note that due to the nature of the river crossing to the island, guests must arrive before 4pm in order to arrive safely. Whilst children over the age of 12 are most welcome. However, parents must understand that Lemala Wild waters Lodge is situated on an island surrounded by grade 5 plus rapids. Therefore these children must be supervised at all times and will not be allowed to roam free on the island. Without being accompanied by a parent.

 When to Visit

Wild waters Lodge is open year round affording guests the opportunity. In order to enjoy this piece of paradise during all seasons.

 Amenities at Lemala Wildwaters Lodge

The ten standalone elevated timber-floor and super-spacious luxury suites are stationed in the rainforest with amazing river views. Each suite is linked by raised wooden walkways to the restaurant, bar and library and they feature locally handmade furniture, glass-fronted windows. Stylish bathrooms with rain showers and secluded wooden decks with daybeds and romantic free-standing open-air bathtubs. The Lodge also offers delicious sunrise breakfasts and candle-lit 3 course dinners. And a lovely swimming pool cantilevered above the river in the attractive main communal lodge area.

Lemala Wildwaters Lodge has 7 standard suites, 2 private plunge pool suites and 1 two bedded suite. To make up the total compliment of accommodation on this island.

All suites  private and exclusive though can be made into a double or triple or twin configuration. And they all have a day bed.

The suites enjoy private balconies with free-standing baths and mosquito nets.

All rooms are safe with en-suite private bathrooms. With great rain showers and complimentary toiletries.

All meals included in your stay. Meals taken in the main area by the poolside with magnificent views of the Nile River. Private dinners catered for in your room or at the poolside on request.

Our dishes made from the freshest ingredients and we are able to accommodate most dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free amongst others.  Thus all dietary preferences advised at the time of booking.

The lodge power  supplied 24hrs by the national grid with a generator back up. Power is 220v and the plugs are 3-pin square UK standard. Adapters are available from the reception on request.

You can also drop a link from the lodge directly into the Nile River to catch the incredible and plentiful Nile Perch.

Jet boating on the Nile is an activity you should not miss if you love to participate in extreme sports since it is fun, exhilarating and safe. . This activity is different from White Water rafting as it allows you to pass through the rapid currents of the Nile at various speeds, racing through its waves.

Enjoy a leisurely ride through villages, farm lands and along the Nile River and see the life in Uganda from a whole other perspective.
