What is Whitewater Rafting in Jinja?

Jinja at source of the Nile is a point where River Nile specifically starts its long journey to Mediterranean Sea. There has been controversies about the source of the Nile with Rwanda claiming that the source of the mighty River Nile is in Nyungwe Forest. This is not the case at all since all rivers that originate from Rwanda, Rwenzori  and eventually pour their water in Lake Victoria.

It’s from Lake Victoria at Jinja that we definitely get to see River Nile separating from Lake Victoria to start its long journey northwards. Jinja has generally over the years gained a strong reputation of fun and adventure. The availability of spectacular physical features for instance the source of the longest river in the world. Day 1: Transfer to Jinja and white water rafting.

After an early breakfast, our professional guide will pick you up and straightaway kick off the journey through Mabira tropical forest. Which is a natural forest with a variety of primates and birds. Firstly, you will drive to Jinja with a stopover at Owen Fall Dam where the hydroelectric power for Uganda is generated. Lastly head to Nile Ripon falls. Afterwards continue to Bujagali falls where you will spend some time there watching the beautiful sceneries and divers as they swim through those rapids. You will finally have lunch and then in the afternoon you will go for rafting which is surely one of the most exciting activities done on the source of the Nile.
