Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for Afternoon Game Drive
On the first day of your safari, you will be picked up from Entebbe International Airport by a representative from Paradise Adventure Vacations. From there, you will embark on a scenic 4-hour drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Upon arrival at the park, you will check into your lodge and have lunch before setting off on an afternoon game drive to explore the park’s stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife. Lake Mburo National Park is known for its herds of zebra, impala, eland, topi, and buffalo, among other species. You will spend the night at your lodge inside the park, listening to the sounds of the wilderness outside.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
After breakfast at your lodge, you will set out for the next leg of your journey, a 6-7 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive will take you through the rolling hills and lush green countryside of southwestern Uganda, passing by small towns and villages along the way. You will arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the late afternoon, where you will check into your lodge for a good night’s rest in preparation for the next day’s gorilla trek.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
The highlight of the safari is the gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will rise early to have breakfast and meet your experienced guide for a pre-trek briefing. The guide will provide you with details about the gorilla families you will be visiting, the trekking routes, and the guidelines for gorilla trekking.
You will then set off for the trek into the dense forest to search for the gorilla family you’ve been assigned to visit. The trek can take between 2-8 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas on that day. Once you find the gorillas, you will have a magical hour with them, observing them as they go about their daily activities, grooming each other, or playing. The experience is awe-inspiring, and it’s not uncommon for people to be moved to tears. After the trek, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will leave Bwindi National Park and head north to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This 3-4 hour drive will take you through the beautiful countryside of southwestern Uganda, with picturesque views of the Rwenzori Mountains in the distance. Upon arrival at the park, you will check into your lodge and have lunch. Later in the day, you will embark on an afternoon game drive in the park, where you will get to see some of the park’s iconic wildlife such as elephants, lions, and buffalos, among others. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise along Kazinga Channel
After a morning coffee, head out for a morning game drive at kasenyi track of the park. Common sightings here are; elephant, warthog, water buck, kob, leopard, lions, hyena, buffalo and so much more. After a short break visit to katwe fishing and salt mining village. In season, you will see plenty of flamingos in this part of the park. You will then return to the lodge for lunch.
After your delicious meal, you will head out for your afternoon boat cruise on the well-known kazinga channel to see schools of hippos, basks of crocodiles. The channel has the highest concentration of hippos in Africa it is also a great place for Birders enjoy most as you will see hundreds and hundreds of birds on the shore, you can easily identify over 40 species while on the boat cruise on kazinga channel. Later go for an evening game drive mainly to search for the big cats and other predators of the park. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 6: Game Drive and Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, you will embark on another game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park to see more wildlife species that you might have missed on the previous game drive. After the game drive, you will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive to Kibale National Park. The journey takes about 3-4 hours, and you will arrive at your lodge in the afternoon. You can relax, go for a nature walk, or take a cultural visit to a nearby community.

Day 7: Kibale Forest National Park – Chimpanzee Trekking and visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
Today, after breakfast, you will drive to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee trekking. Kibale forest National Park is renowned for having the highest concentration of primates in Africa, and the highlight of your visit will be the chimpanzee trekking experience. The trek can take 2-4 hours and you will be accompanied by experienced park rangers. Once the chimps are located, you will spend an hour observing and learning about their behavior. You may also see other primates such as colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys during the trek. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary from where you will take on a guided walk around the Swamp which will provide you with the opportunity to see a wide range of flora and fauna. View a variety of butterflies, birds and other insects. Have a tour of the crater region around Ndali lodge. You may also stop over at any tea plantation along the road if you wish. Have an evening tour of the crater region, visit top of the world, the natural bridge. On a clear day you will be able to have a view of the snow cap on the Rwenzori. Meals and overnight at Lodge

Day 8: Departure back to Kampala
After breakfast, you will depart from Kibale National Park and begin your journey back to Kampala. The drive takes about 4-5 hours and you will arrive in Kampala in the early afternoon. Depending on your departure time, you can have a city tour or do some last-minute shopping before you are transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight. In response to the clients’ needs, we have a very strict vehicle replacement policy that ensures a young fleet at all times. We have a total fleet of 225 well-maintained motor vehicles, predominantly 4-wheel drives. This does away with the problem of sub-contracting vehicles and driver-guides, which may compromise the quality of services. Our safari vehicles are specifically converted for maximum space and comfort. All of them have hatched roof and sliding windows to facilitate good viewing and convenient photography during game drives and sight seeing.
