Eleven Days Uganda Safari Classic Tour

This 11 Days Uganda Safari Classic Tour not only combines adventures in Uganda’s top National Parks but also  Ngamba Island Chimpanzee  Sanctuary. The parks are for instance Murchison Falls National park, Queen Elizabeth National park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Lake Mburo National Park. You swill also have a chance to spend time at Lake Bunyonyi, a place for nature and bird lovers. Additionally, all activities that are done in these destinations can be enjoyed throughout the year.

Detailed Itinerary of Uganda Safari Classic Tour

Day 1: Airport Pickup transfer to your hotel

Our professional guide will be waiting for you and depending on your time of arrival, you might also visit Ngamba Island located on Lake Victoria- the largest fresh water body in Africa. Spend time with orphaned chimpanzees and then get a chance to see how they are fed. However after this rewarding experience you will return to your hotel.

Day 2: transfer to Murchison falls National Park

Today, you will straightaway transfer to Murchison falls national park. You will then be driven northwest via bombo and Masindi to the delightful gestated area.  Have a stopover at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary- a home of white and black Rhinos in order to get an opportunity to partake in nature walk. After you will shortly proceed to the national park where the falls create a narrow valley of water.

Day 3: Game Drive and launch trip

Firstly have a relaxed breakfast early in the morning and embark on an interesting morning game drive in the Northern bank of the Savanah delta. Expect high chances of viewing and taking photographs of animals for instance buffaloes, lions, elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks and spotted hyenas. After the activity you will then return to the lodge for lunch.

Secondly, after lunch in the afternoon, you will head out for your afternoon launch trip. Additionally, it is unique and amazing experience. Stand a chance to certainly see the ever hungry crocodiles, hippos and a diversity of bird species including the kingfishers, Egyptian geese.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Have a relaxed breakfast and then transfer to Kibale forest in Southwestern Uganda. Drive through the Valley escarpment in order to meet with spectacular sceneries to Fort portal town then to the Park. Have your lunch en route in Fort portal the Tourism City and thereafter continue as you have great views of the Rwenzori ranges. Finally check in at your lodge and later in the evening, you will go for a guided nature walk in Bigodi wetland which is not only a home to various birds but also primate species

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and cultural encounter

Enjoy your breakfast at the lodge before going for Chimpanzee tracking. In a bid to track these habituated apes, you will come across other primates including the white colobus monkeys, so commonly seen within the forest. After your tracking, you will finally return to the lodge for lunch and relaxing.

In the afternoon, eventually visit the eco-tourism project found in Bigodi- a small village adjacent to the park. The local community organizes village walks where you stand opportunities to not only hear stories from the homesteads but also participate in the local dances and performances.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Firstly after a calm breakfast, transfer to the Queen Elizabeth National park. The drive is so peacefully most especially when you are approaching the Crater Lake area. On arrival at the park ,you will then check in to your lodge and later go for an evening game drive to stand a chance of viewing hippos come out of the pools to feed. Lastly, after you will drive back to the lodge.

Day 7: Game Drive and launch trip along Kazinga Channel

After breakfast then go for an early morning game drive to the Kob mating area in Kasenyi. Meanwhile expect to see elephants, buffaloes, lions and other fauna in their natural habitat. The morning game drive is surely a rewarding experience as you stand a chance to view lions coming back from hunting. After, you will then return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you however proceed for an exciting launch trip along the Kazinga channel. A good percentage of wildlife is found along this channel for instance buffalos, hippos and elephants.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Have breakfast then check out from your lodge. Drive through the Ishasha area, pronounced for the famous tree climbing lions and then proceed your way to BIFNP A magnificent verdant swathe across the steep ridges of the Albertan Rift Valley. This ancient rain forest -one of the few in Africa to have flourished throughout the last Ice Age -is home to roughly half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Arrive to check in and have lunch, relax or go for an evening village walk and shopping at the craft market before dinner

Day 9: Gorilla tracking and Batwa trail

Have breakfast and then move to the rangers’ post. You will receive some briefing (from a ranger guide) on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists.

The time taken as well as the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable.

Thereafter, you will return for lunch then drive off to Lake Bunyonyi. The lake is framed by not only lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478m) but also it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day.

Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Have breakfast and then set off to Lake Mburo NP via Mbarara town. You will arrive in the early afternoon and take some rest before proceeding out for the late afternoon (evening) game viewing. On the game drive, expect to see the gigantic animals for example antelopes, zebras, topic, impalas, Uganda kobs and Cape buffalos among others.

Later, relax at the accommodation where you will spend the night. Optional: In case you are interested, you may go out for the breathtaking Mburo night game drive (at an extra cost on the ground). During the night game drive, expect to sight nocturnal creatures including snakes, hyena, owls and the elusive leopard (on a lucky day) among others.

Have breakfast at the lodge then drive back to Kampala. You will then make a stopover at the Equator where you will not only buy yourself handicrafts but also take some photos. And after which, you will certainly embark on your journey. Thus the end of Uganda Safari Classic Tour.
