5 Days Masai Mara & Lake Nakuru Safari

5 Days Masai Mara & Lake Nakuru will surely give you an experience to see one of the largest national parks and the most famous in Kenya. It is located in southwestern Kenya. The local call the place the mara. It is named after the local inhabitants, the Maasai. Masai Mara national reserve is the northern continuation of the Serengeti national park in Tanzania. Masai mara is known for the big 5 for example lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and hippos, rhinos, Giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs and many others kind of antelopes also roam in plenty in maasai mara.

Secondly, Lake Nakuru national park, the main attraction there is flamingoes and the white rhino.

Day 1: Transfer From Nairobi To Masai Mara & Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, our professional driver, will pick you up and drive straightaway to Masai mara with stopover at Great Rift Valley. We then continue driving on longonot and suswa and on to western walls with another one stopover at Norak for re-fueling. Have lunch before arriving in the mara in time for evening game drive in the mara popular for the Big five (lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and Rhinos). The team returns  in the evening just in time in order to have  dinner and Overnight. Lastly, a campfire gathering under the clear Africa’s Sky follows after dinner and at camp/lodge.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive In Maasai Mara National Reserve

A full day is certainly spent at the Maasai mara game reserve. Driving across the plain in order to search of the big cats (black manned lions, cheetahs and leopards with picnic lunch served at the mara River site. Furthermore vast herds of wildebeest and zebra wander across the grasslands in huge numbers during this period of the annual migrations. This takes place when millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle traverse  through the mara plains landscape to feed on the rich new grass from the Serengeti. You will also have a chance to see other plain game like the topi, heartbeast, and eland. Later return at the lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 3: Second Day Full Game Drive In Maasai Mara National Reserve

Pre-breakfast, you will then start your game drive in search of nocturnal animals drive back to the back for breakfast. However spend the rest of the day in leisure followed in the afternoon by an optional nature walk or a visit to the Maasai. Eventually have dinner and Overnight at Camp/Lodge.

We will certainly have an early morning game drive. It will also be your final game drive in the Maasai mara before coming back for breakfast and packing for nakuru. Lastly arrive and check in at Nakuru Hotel/Camp.

Day 5: Transfers from Lake Nakuru to Nairobi

In lake nakuru national park, we proceed for an extensive game viewing in search of cats in the among the “yellow fever” acacia trees which are leopards favorite and also on search of rhino. “Nakuru is specifically a home to the white rhinos and has tens of black rhinos too” Lake Nakuru national park is also known for its millions of flamingoes and other water birds like pelicans and cormorants. Thus the end of our tour.
