8 Days Luxurious Tanzania Safari Package

The 8 Days Luxurious Tanzania Safari will unleash rare Natural beauty and take you to the untouched Tarangire, the endless plains of the Serengeti as well as the Ngorongoro Crater which is home to over 25,000 mammals. Tarangire National Park is located in the Northern part of Tanzania and lies within the Northern Circuit which consists of several other National Parks. The park covers an approximate area of 2,850sqkm and was garzetted as a National park in 1970. Tarangire National Park boosts of about 58 mammal species including large herds of elephants, giraffes, tree climbing pythons, lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, gazelles, cheetahs, honey badgers, fringe eared oryx kudus, hartebeests, African wild dogs, zebras, tree climbing lions, cape buffaloes, wildebeests, waterbucks, dik-dik, impala among others.

The park also has a strong concentration of bird species amounting to 550 species, among these include the greater and lesser Kudus as well as oryx, northern pied babbler, vulturine Guinea fowl, Rufous-tailed weaver, yellow-collard sun bird, white-bellied go away bird, hornbills, bee-eaters, ashy starling, mouse birds, tiny-pygmy falcon, white pelicans, superb sterlings, white-headed babbler, hammerkops among other bird species.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Located in the Northern part of Tanzania on the Eastern Great Rift Valley Arm which is managed by Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. The Conservation area was officially established in 1959 and was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979 and it is part of the Serengeti Ecosystem. Ngorongoro’s main attraction is the Ngorongoro Crater which is the World’s largest intact and unfilled Volcanic Caldera with over 25,000 mammals including wildebeests, hippos, warthogs, hyenas, zebras, elands, gazelles, and the Big 5 mammal species which are lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos as well as buffaloes and over 100 bird species co-existing with the Semi-nomadic Maasai people.

Serengeti National Park

Located in the Northern region of Tanzania and it was established in 1952. The park covers an area of 14763sqkm making it home to over 70 mammal species like  dik-dik, Oryx, greater Kudu, Hyenas, Hippos, bushbuck, Jackals, giraffes, Janet cats, Baboons, Giraffes, elands, spring hare, porcupine, warthog, Hyraxes, vervet monkeys, Colobus monkeys, patas monkeys, and mongooses and also Africa’s Big 5 mammals which are lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants and Rhinos. Serengeti National park also boosts of over 500 bird species including Grey-Breasted spur fowl, Fischer’s lovebird, Rufous-tailed weaver, Usambiro barbet, Grey-crested helmet-shrike, Kori Bustard, Red-capped robin-chat, Secretary bird, Verreaux’s eagle, Yellow-throated sand grouse among others. Serengeti National Park is well known for its annual Wildebeest Migration of over 1,500,000 and 250,000 Zebras which occur between the months of July and August.

 

Day 1: Arrival and Pick up from Arusha – Transfer to Tarangire National Park – Evening Game Drive

The 8 Days Luxurious Tanzania Safari will start with a pick up from Arusha by our Professional driver guide from Paradise Adventure Vacations who will meet and greet you, he will brief you about the Safari and thereafter transfer you to Tarangire National Park which is about 2 hours drive where you will arrive with an enroute game drive to your lodge. You will check in for a mouth-watering lunch and have relaxation. Later, you will head out for an evening game drive until sunset which will give you sights of different mammals including elephants, giraffes, cape buffaloes, wildebeests, waterbucks, dik-dik, impala, fringe eared oryx kudus, hartebeests, lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, gazelles among others. You will then return back to your accommodation for your dinner as well as an overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Full Day Game drive

Day 2 of the 8 Days Luxurious Tanzania Safari will start with a relaxed morning breakfast and thereafter you will head out with your packed lunch for a full day game drive in the savannah plains of Tarangire National park dotted with giant Baobab trees. During your exploration, you will encounter various mammals including predators during the early rise up of the sun, you will watch them hunting for prey and if lucky, you will spot them feasting on their prey. Other mammals include elephants, giraffes, cape buffaloes, wildebeests, waterbucks, dik-dik, impala, hartebeests, African wild dogs, zebras, fringe eared oryx kudus among others. You will game drive until sunset and then return back to your lodge for your dinner as well as an overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater with Game drive

Your day 3 of the Safari will start with a lovely breakfast and thereafter you will transfer to Ngorongoro Crater which is about 2 hours from Tarangire National Park. When you first see Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a forgotten world. Concealed by the steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland, glistening lakes and swamps. The Ngorongoro Crater was created when a large Volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago.

The drive down into the Crater is an adventure itself and when you reach the Crater floor, you will quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and more than 500 bird species. The Crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands. After a full afternoon inside the Crater, you will head to your accommodation for dinner as well as an overnight.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Game Drive – Drive to Eyasi – Hadzabe Community Encounter

Wake up early morning on your day 4 of the Safari and have breakfast. You will thereafter descend into the Crater floor which is about 260sqkm with a depth of over 2000 feet. This 5 hours game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of wildlife action which has not to be missed therefore keep your Cameras ready. The African elephant, Black rhino, buffalos, Hippos, Cheetahs, Hyenas, and Lions are found in plenty.

You will later begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater and then transfer to Eyasi where you will have a hearty lunch. Lake Eyasi is a famous soda lake near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and it offers a very different experience from national park Safaris in the Northern circuit. Its location is famous for being home to the Hadzabe, the last hunter-gatherers of East Africa whose practices have remained the same for over 10,000 years. You will visit the Hadzabe Community to get a feel and experience of their daily life.

Day 5: Transfer to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge

Your day 5 of the 8 Days Luxurious Tanzania Safari will start with a finger-licking breakfast and thereafter you will embark on a drive to the Serengeti National Park with an enroute visit to the Olduvai Gorge which is believed to be the cradle of mankind. While here, you will encounter and learn about the fossils, stone tools and the skeletons of many extinct animals excavated in the gorge and then continue with the drive to Serengeti National Park where you will arrive to your lodge with an enroute game drive. Upon arrival, you will check in for a mouth-watering lunch and you will spend the rest of the day relaxing at your lodge as you await your dinner as well as an overnight.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park – Full Day Game drive

Day 6 of your safari will have an early morning delicious breakfast and thereafter drive to the Seronera area for a full day of exploring this world’s most famous and wildlife sanctuary. You will view the nocturnal predators as they return from hunting and the animals waking up in early morning light. Depending on the time of the year, you can expect to see the migration of millions of Wildebeests and zebras, other mammal species you will see include giraffes, antelopes, monkeys, baboons, hippos, antelopes, the Big five including the lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, leopards and many bird species. You will have your picnic lunch as you enjoy the beauty of the park, later in the evening you will return to your accommodation for your dinner as well as an overnight.

Our fleet consists of 4×4 Toyota Land cruisers with a hinged roof and skylights above the front seats. The hinged roof offers two main advantages: it provides shade without restricting the view, so that you can enjoy your safari even in the very sunny hours of the day. It also allows a 360-degree all-round view.
