3 Days Rwanda Mountain Gorillas Trekking

3 Days Rwanda Mountain Gorillas Trekking,  Arrive in Kigali where a Driver/Guide will be waiting for you and travel to Ruhengeri. The next day you will spend the day gorilla trekking. The last day you have will be spent doing a city tour and shopping. In the city tour you might also visit interesting spots like the craft market, Gisozi genocide memorial site, or Kigali museum.

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Musanze

Arrive at Kigali International Airport and drive to Musanze. You will be met by our  Safaris driver/guide at the airport. You will have some time for a meet and greet. Overnight will be at the hotel Muhabura. Take a complementary city tour to visit interesting spots like the craft market. Also engage in last minute shopping in one of the friendliest African capitals but here is when at your last day you will not have time for shopping because normally this activity of day three.

Main Destination: Kigali International Airport (Airport/Airstrip)

Day 2: Kigali – Gorilla Trekking

After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the National Park headquarters in Kinigi to meet your guides for the day.

We encourage your own enjoyment to make sure that you are perfectly fit and healthy. It is important to bring good hiking boots, long trousers, and gloves for protection against stinging nettles. You will have some snacks and sufficient water as the rainforest gets hot and humid during the day. You will spend one hour with the gorillas, but it is an hour you will never forget. Return to your hotel for lunch and later dinner and overnight.

Day 3: City Tour, Shopping, and Departure

After breakfast, a guide from Golden Rwanda Safaris will be waiting to pick you up. You will bid your host goodbye and depart for Kigali. Take a complementary city tour to visit interesting spots which may include the craft market, the Gisozi genocide memorial site, and the Kigali museum. Also, engage in last-minute shopping in one of the friendliest African capitals before returning to the airport for your onward international flight back home. You will be transferred for a two-hour drive to Kigali and on to Kigali International Airport for your flight back home.

Accommodation: No accommodation (End of tour)

What happens if the jeep breaks down?

Our Safari vehicles are serviced and maintained to a very high standard before, during and after every safari. The age of the vehicles in our fleet varies but most were built between 2008 and 2013. If your vehicle does break down and it cannot be fixed on the road, we will request a rescue jeep which will come for you so that you can continue your safari with minimum impact. Whilst every effort is made to prevent this from happening, the driving is rough and the vehicles do take quite a pounding!

We believe in value for money. Every guest would like to have the most reliable and comfortable vehicles on safari. In response to the clients’ needs, we have a very strict vehicle replacement policy that ensures a young fleet at all times. We have a total fleet of 225 well-maintained motor vehicles, predominantly 4-wheel drives. This does away with the problem of sub-contracting vehicles and driver-guides, which may compromise the quality of services. Our safari vehicles are specifically converted for maximum space and comfort. All of them have hatched roof and sliding windows to facilitate good viewing and convenient photography during game drives and sight seeing.
