Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park – Early Morning Hot Air Balloon Safari – Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise – Hike to the Top of the Falls
Wake up for an early morning breakfast, prepare yourself for another exciting encounter. Day 2 of your 3 Days Hot Air Balloon Experience in Murchison Falls starts with an early morning Hot Air Balloon safari where you will explore the park from high up in the air. You will observe observe herds of elephants and giraffes walking across the savannah below us and many other mammals, you may also spot a pride of lions resting in the grass after their night’s hunt. Back down on the ground, you will enjoy a nicely prepared bush breakfast, followed by a game drive through the different trails of the park like Albert trail, buligi trail and the Victoria trail.
Here, you will meet eye to eye with different mammal species like Bufaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, bush barks, giraffes among others, return to your lodge for relaxation and lunch. Later in the afternoon, embark on an afternoon boat cruise upstream to the bottom of the falls, while on the cruise, you will see the Nile crocodiles resting on the shores, herds of hippos while in water, bird species like the black bee eater, grey crowned crane, marabou stork and many others. After the cruise, You will then hike to the Top of the falls where you witness the strength of the magnificent Murchison falls as it roars and pours itself out through a narrow 8m gorge. While here, you will enjoy the soft splashes as it feels like little drizzles falling on your face from heaven. You will then return back to your lodge for relaxation as you await your dinner and an overnight.
