Detailed itinerary for 2 Days Whitewater Rafting in Jinja
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Jinja With evening Boat cruise to the source of the Nile
On day 1, you will transfer from Kampala to Jinja City, a city located in southeastern Uganda known for its adventure sports, including white water rafting on the Nile River and its most popular activity in Jinja, offering an adrenaline rush and a chance to explore the beauty of the Nile River and its rapids. It is usually done in groups with a guide and can range from mild to challenging, depending on the season and the level of experience of the rafters. Along the way you will have a lot of sights to see, and you will not be bored in any way since there is a lot to see. Have a stopover around Sezibwa falls for a guided nature walk and sighting seeing.
Thereafter, head to Mabira forest where you will engage in a nature walk through the forest, here you will see a number of monkeys, different types of tree species, birds among others. Later, proceed to Jinja passing through different sugar and tea plantations. On reaching Jinja visit the Bujagali falls, later take a boat to the source of the Nile and also visit Samuka Island where you will have a great time viewing birds. Day 2: Full day White or half day water rafting experience – Water Rafting on River Nile
On the second day of your 2 days Jinja and White Water Rafting, you will enjoy a full day white water rafting or half day water rafting experience escapade on river Nile. After having breakfast at your lodge, your driver director will take you for briefing before you start your white-water rafting escapade. From there, you will start the thrilling white water rafting. White water rafting on the Nile takes you through some of best grades of rapids. Expect to enjoy the experience as you raft through the most remarkable leaps and drops. You have the chance to swim when you reach the place where the water is easy going before heading for more rapids.

What happens if the jeep breaks down?
Our Safari vehicles are serviced and maintained to a very high standard before, during and after every safari. The age of the vehicles in our fleet varies but most were built between 2008 and 2013. If your vehicle does break down and it cannot be fixed on the road, we will request a rescue jeep which will come for you so that you can continue your safari with minimum impact. Whilst every effort is made to prevent this from happening, the driving is rough and the vehicles do take quite a pounding!
We believe in value for money. Every guest would like to have the most reliable and comfortable vehicles on safari. In response to the clients’ needs, we have a very strict vehicle replacement policy that ensures a young fleet at all times. We have a total fleet of 225 well-maintained motor vehicles, predominantly 4-wheel drives. This does away with the problem of sub-contracting vehicles and driver-guides, which may compromise the quality of services. Our safari vehicles are specifically converted for maximum space and comfort. All of them have hatched roof and sliding windows to facilitate good viewing and convenient photography during game drives and sight seeing.
