Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge lies on the banks of the Tarangire River. And it is situated just 5 km from the main entrance to Tarangire National Park. The lodge is also within driving distance of Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater. Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge is situated approximately 125 km away from Arusha town. And is ideally accessible via the Dodoma Road. On the other hand, the lodge can also be reached by air since there is an airstrip near the park.

The lodge is a permanent mid-specification facility offering clean and also distinctly comfortable rooms. It has large communal areas with some extravagant. Lovely features that really excite all the guests that come around.

Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge gives its visitors the true flavor of the Tanzanian bush with a mix of shrubs land and acacia woodlands with large baobab trees scattered in the entire park. A variety of mammals such as Zebra, elephants. Also, there are over 500 bird species that have been recorded in this region. Therefore there is always a mix of color or sound to delight you.

Facilities and Amenities at Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge

This lodge has 21 luxury en suite tents pitched on wooden platforms and covered by makuti roofs. Every luxury tent has a unique theme with beautifully hand-made furniture, coffee & tea making machine, a wide-open veranda with two chairs, a small table, uniquely built animal shaped bath-tubs and showers. The Lodge has Electricity which is provided by solar panels. And they also offer charging facilities for video devices, phones, cameras and other chargeable devices at the restaurant and bar.

The Lodge features a swimming pool, laundry, curio/gift shop for memorable souvenirs, antiques and also safari books, a restaurant and bar with a raised wooden deck, conference hall, Internet service and TV center. Among these 12 luxury tents, 2 of them are specifically constructed with inter-connecting doors and a common verandah to cater to a family unit of up to 8 pax. Ideally, all the tents provide the lodge with a bed occupancy of 52 pax all at once.

Each luxury tent has coffee making facilities for self-preparation of a cup whenever desired.

Game drives

Game drives are phenomenal in Tarangire National Park where early morning and late afternoon game drives introduce visitors to the world of bush safaris. Here, visitors can as well enjoy night drives and also guided nature walks and get to explore the untouched wilderness on foot.

Other activities include sport fishing and also archery. Younger visitors can decide to embark on a treasure hunt during their stay.

The renowned Ngorongoro Crater is situated just 2 hours away with Lake Manyara only a 4-mile drive away as is the Matete Picnic Site. Visitors can enjoy a cultural experience with the authentic Hadzabe community.
