The renowned Kyambura Gorge Lodge

Specifically  with entirely remodelled public areas and gardens, has certainly been converted from a coffee store to create a breathtakingly beautiful space. Located on the edge of Queen Elizabeth National Park the lodge has sweeping views of the rolling savanna, the distant Mountains of the Moon, and the sunken Kyambura Gorge.

ELEPHANT HUB LODGE:

Elephant Hub Lodge is a luxurious safari lodge at the periphery of Queen Elizabeth National Park located in the spectacular Kyambura Gorge, approximately 10-minute drive to the chimpanzee tracking point.  It is positioned within the habitat of elephants. That you can frequently see herds of grazing from the lobby and at the balcony of your cottage. Hence its name and another often sight at the lodge is the velvet monkeys that welcome you in the compound. Caution, you may not be able to help yourself but please don’t feed the monkeys. ‘The lodge is a marvel of wood, canvas, and grass-thatched roofs that blend with its environs’.

 

ELEPHANT PLAINS LODGE

Elephant Plains is a brand new luxury lodge located on the most spectacular view point in the whole of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Perched 941 meters above sea level, high upon the western escarpment of the Albertine rift in the north east of the park. The lodge offers panoramic views stretching for miles over the huge open grasslands to lake George.

KASENYI SAFARI CAMP

Kasenyi Safari Camp is strategically located on the rim of lake Bunyampaka in the Kasenyi Savannah of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The camp has an elevated dining structure that is meticulously thatched. The tents are on platforms with a thatched canopy roof. There are four tents all with en-suite bathrooms, spacious living areas and private decks. Many animals frequent the camp during day and at night. Lions, Queen luxury and Mid-Range, hippo, leopard, buffalo, elephant, waterbuck, kob, hyena & wart hog are frequently seen. The night comes alive with sounds of hyenas howling and lions roaring.

KATARA SAFARI LODGE

Katara Lodge sits on escarpment farmland overlooking Queen Elizabeth National Park’s northeastern sector in western Uganda, a pleasant intimate, and simple safari lodge with eight cottages overlooking the vast park’s savannah plains. The Lodge is independently owned and operated

MWEYA SAFARI LODGE:

Mweya Safari Lodge is located on the ridge of the Mweya peninsula that separates Lake Edward from the Kazinga Channel. There are fantastic views over the lake and the channel.

Firstly, the 54 rooms are laid out along the ridge in single storey blocks. Each room has a ceiling fan, mosquito nets and en suite bathroom with bath and shower. All the rooms have their own private terrace and most look over the Kazinga Channel below. The standard rooms are quite simple and the deluxe rooms are of a good standard with air conditioning. The suites are even larger with a separate sitting area and there are now also luxury tents.

Secondly the main lodge has a large swimming pool and sundeck with some steps leading down the hill to an observation point where you can sit and watch the animals coming down to the water to drink and the hippo wallowing. The dining room serves good food that switches between buffet and à la carte meals.

BUFFALO SAFARI LODGE

Buffalo Safari Lodge is located at Queen Elizabeth National park, Katunguru Bridge, near the magical Kazinga channel, 1km off Kasese-Mbarara road, Western Uganda. The lodge has both standard and deluxe cottages, making a total of 17 rooms currently. This is ideal for large groups of 20 guests or more. The facility boasts of a serene environment comprising of spectacular flora and fauna such as elephants, Queen luxury and Mid-Range, buffaloes, hippos, warthogs and a variety of birds all at a glance of an eye. Buffalo Lodge has world class and experienced staff, a fully stocked bar and restaurant, with a lounge that gives guests and visitors a spectacular view of Queen Elizabeth park nearby, and Lakes Edward and George.

ISHASHA WILDERNESS CAMP;

Ishasha Wilderness Camp is situated within the Southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the Ntungwe river, an idyllic retreat for people who truly enjoy the wild. This exclusive camp blends the magic of a wilderness tented camp with superb service in this unspoilt and remote region of the National Park. The Ishasha savannahs are famous for its population of tree climbing lions that can sometimes be spotted resting in the branches of the large fig trees. Being within the park the wildlife is free to also pass through the camp and elephants can be seen bathing in the river, buffalo enjoy grazing and resident troops of Black-and-White Colobus and vervet monkeys are frequently viewed.

IHAMBA LAKESIDE SAFARI LODGE.

Ihamba Safari Lodge is a midrange / standard lodge located on Lake George shores close to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the sub county in Muhokya and close to Kahendero fishing village overlooking the magical Rwenzori Mountains

Ishasha Jungle Lodge is located 2km off Katokye Gate of Queen Elizabeth National Park along River Ntungwe. This is the perfect location for your photographic safaris in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park and a stopover on the way to Bwindi National Park. The lodge  surrounded by riparian forest vegetation and acacias Savannah. Ishasha Jungle Lodge is a small eco-friendly lodge, entirely made with local materials and African art, with its raised en-suite wooden deck cottages, spacious rooms and bathroom, all finished with canvas.
