Batwa Culture Experience you can have a chance of seen Batwa people. Is one of the most interesting tribes in Africa and in the world at large. Because of their unique culture and way of life. This are commonly known as “Pygmies and currently still live in Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. With a total population of 86,000 to 112,000 in all the respective countries. You would ask the kind of language these people speak. Batwa is a derivative root word common to Bantu language group. Meaning they speak Bantu related language.

A person of Batwa tribe  known as “Mutwa” in singular and the nation of Batwa called “Butwa”. The term “Twa”  used by the Bantu language in the sub-Saharan Africa. To refer to people who are almost in every case hunter gatherers. Batwa people are believed to have originated from central Africa. And marginalized and silenced which has rendered them one of the Central Africa’s most vulnerable and endangered groups. These small-sturated people are the oldest surviving tribes in Africa. But their culture, identity and language are under increasing threat.

The Batwa people survived by hunting using arrows and spears.  Then gathering fruits of trees late in their habitat which was formally the forest. Batwa is a member of an ethnic group whose average height is usually short where adult men are average less than “150cm” or 4 feet. It’s because of their defined height and unique culture that makes them more interesting.

Where to find Batwa people?

Batwa found in various corners of the world for example Batwa Culture Experience of Uganda.  Situated in south west of the country particularly in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. These endangered group of people are in areas of Echuya forest reserve in Kisoro and Kabale districts. Echuya  located in the Albertine Rift region recognized as an important eco-region. And then Batwa people of Rwanda mainly live on the inaccessible fringes of the forest volcanoes.  Batwa of Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo live around Kivu near Uganda and Rwanda borders in Ituri forest. However all  Batwa just split in different allocations.

Batwa being an interesting and entertaining tribe, it has also been considered for tourism when you can go for Safari Holidays Uganda However, the government of Uganda literally allocated an affordable cost for visitors to visit and have an incredible experience. There are higher chances to see Batwa when in any of those places. What happens if the jeep breaks down?

Our Safari vehicles are serviced and maintained to a very high standard before, during and after every safari. The age of the vehicles in our fleet varies but most were built between 2008 and 2013. If your vehicle does break down and it cannot be fixed on the road, we will request a rescue jeep which will come for you so that you can continue your safari with minimum impact. Whilst every effort is made to prevent this from happening, the driving is rough and the vehicles do take quite a pounding!

We believe in value for money. Every guest would like to have the most reliable and comfortable vehicles on safari. In response to the clients’ needs, we have a very strict vehicle replacement policy that ensures a young fleet at all times. We have a total fleet of 225 well-maintained motor vehicles, predominantly 4-wheel drives. This does away with the problem of sub-contracting vehicles and driver-guides, which may compromise the quality of services. Our safari vehicles are specifically converted for maximum space and comfort. All of them have hatched roof and sliding windows to facilitate good viewing and convenient photography during game drives and sight seeing.
