Consisting of 14 luxury cottages, Chimpundu Lodge gives you the perfect view of the surrounding landscape and wildlife right from your own private deck. Enjoy the sound of wildlife in the background, the rustling of the African trees, and the twinkling of the stars as you relax between the forest Trees in your cottages. Rooms are well elevated with raised wooden platform decorated and furnished with en- suite private facilities of clean flushing Toilets, hot and cold showers , comfortable beds that are wrapped with mosquito nets, television, chairs, free toiletries, complementary bottled water in the rooms, wooden tables and many more. Rooms have sitting areas, terraces and wooden private balconies overlooking the forest canopy.

Activities
Chimpanzee Trekking
Chimpanzee trekking in the park involves tourists hiking through the different trails in the park. Where they will get to the four habituated chimpanzee families in Kibale Forest National Park. While getting to the families, you will see a number of rewarding sceneries and attractions like a number of monkey species. Such as red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, Mona monkey, Vervet Monkey among others. When you get to your chimpanzee family you will spend on the hour with the primates observing their behavior in the park. For instance, you will get to know about the diet of the chimpanzees, their eating intervals, how they co-exist with one another among other interesting features about the chimpanzees in Kibale National Park during chimpanzee trekking.
Birding
Accompanied by a guide, you will follow the forest trails and look out for different types of birds. Of the 325 that are recorded in this national park, 6 species of birds are endemic to the Albertine Rift region, including the Black-capped Apalis, Blue-headed Sunbird, Collared Apalis, Dusky Crimsonwing, Purple-breasted Sunbird and Red-faced Woodland Warbler.
Crater Lake Exploration.
Here you can simply enjoy the beauty of the numerous small lakes, surrounded by gentle hills, and stunning views. The area is ideal for sports fishing, nature walks, cycling, and a great opportunity to do intensive bird watching. Take a hike at Lake Nkuruba to encounter different species of primates or visit the hidden Mahoma Falls. While you meet the local people as you walk through their villages and learn more about the customs of the Batoro tribe.
It’s amazing that crater lakes are bilharzia-free and hence safe for swimming. However, it is important to establish the living creatures within or around a particular crater.
