Saruni Eagle View is located on a panoramic escarpment in Mara Naboisho Conservancy, Masai Mara, with sweeping views over the open savannah in what one of the most beautiful is and protected areas of the Mara ecosystem. Its natural salt lick and watering hole provide both a busy hunting site for predators and unique game viewing perspectives for our guests. In fact, Mara Naboisho Conservancy is one of Africa’s prime game viewing destinations.
Meanwhile, It is home to all year abundant wildlife and amazing rich Maasai heritage. With this contemporary-looking eco-camp made of 9 tents, we invite our guests to gaze towards the future of sustainable tourism. The innovative architecture and minimal design complement the purity of the untouched surroundings. A Gold Eco-rated property certified by Eco Tourism Kenya, Saruni Eagle View is small, intimate and very special. Its tents are spaciously laid out in modern safari style, offering guests a tranquil and relaxing retreat.
Accommodation
Saruni Eagle View has nine Viewpoint tents built on elevated platforms: six are double tents and three are family tents that have two bedrooms each. Each tent offers raised canvas ceilings for a spacious feeling, soothing earth coloring, and a king-size, double or twin beds comfortably fitted with fresh white linen and indulgent duvets. Each tent has a private bathroom area featuring toilets and two showers, one inside and one open-air “safari shower”. However, all rooms have a private elevated viewing deck offering exceptional views of Mara Naboisho Conservancy.
Activities
Game Drive
Morning, afternoon and all-day game drives through the conservation areas and National Reserves are at the core of the safari experience. We have access to some of the best conservancies in Kenya and fantastic habitats for African wildlife. We also recommend night game drives, when nocturnal species can be encountered. This is a unique activity not permitted in national parks or reserves, but they are in privately owned conservancies.
Walking
Walking in the African savannah is often the best way to get close to nature: plants, flowers, trees, animal tracks, the soil, with the wildlife as a background, become very vivid ingredients of the safari experience. Also an opportunity for our guides to share stories, share their culture and share the knowledge.
Sundowners & Bush Meals
Enjoy breakfasts, lunches and starlit dinners under the acacia trees beneath the vast African skies (weather permitting). We’d love to take you to our secret spots for a bush dinner or for a picnic lunch that allows us to be with elephants, waterbuck, lion, impala and all the wildlife that stop to take water. Thus the sundowner is a well-deserved drink at the end of a long day on safari to ‘salute’ the African sun as it is setting.

Family Safari
Most of Saruni Basecamp properties have family units. This reflects our commitment to making safari experiences available and easier to enjoy for families because we know that an experience in the African bush is a bonding and enriching one for families and that more and more families want to come on safari together.
Children, in fact, immediately connect with nature and animals and show great curiosity and ability to learn. They normally find the unusual circumstances exciting and absorbing. Obviously, children might need special arrangements and we are ready to cater for them.

At Saruni Basecamp wellness of body and mind is important. We have created activities that enhance it and help our guests maximize the already beneficial effects of a safari in the middle of wild nature.
In some of our properties, we have a dedicated area called Wellbeing Space, in quiet and beautiful corners of the lodge, where a number of massages & treatments are available. In other properties, the massages and treatments are available not in dedicated spaces but in the guest’s accommodation.
